Nazi Forced Labor is the topic of the ceremony in the German Bundestag on January 27, 2016, the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of National Socialism.
Therefore, the annual Youth Encounter of the Bundestag is dealing with different aspcects of this Nazi crime still widely neglected in the German public. 80 young people from Germany and its neighbors participate in a series of events and discussions. On January 24, Cord Pagenstecher presents current online material like the interview archive "Zwangsarbeit 1939-1945", the educational material developed by Freie Universität Berlin and the Testimony App of Berliner Geschichtswerkstatt on Nazi forced labor.
Finally, the participants take part in the ceremony in the plenary chamber and the discussion with main speaker Prof. Dr. Ruth Klüger and the president of the Bundestag Prof. Dr. Norbert Lammert.
